University of Maryland University College (UMUC) will host a new exhibit, Joseph Sheppard: A Voyage from Memory, 1930-1960. Throughout his career, Sheppard has explored and taught painting in a realist tradition, and many of his works are based on cultural recollections in the history of the United States. This exhibition focuses on Sheppard’s artistic journey and his creation of images based on his memory of significant American events. The event is open daily from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
