Join historian Guy R. Hasegawa for a talk on the manufacturing of artificial limbs during the Civil War, including how they were provided to amputees during the conflict. Hasegawa will also discuss his new book, "Mending Broken Soldiers: The Union and Confederate Programs to Supply Artificial Limbs." This event will be held in the Fenton Room at the Silver Spring Civic Building.
