I joined The Gazette in June 2012 as an arts and entertainment reporter. I’m a Montgomery County native and grew up in Silver Spring. In 2011, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish. During my time at the University of Maryland, I had internships with WUSA9, DC Magazine and USA Weekend. After graduation, I returned to DC Magazine as a freelance assistant editor for a few months before taking a job as a media researcher with Vocus, Inc. Before joining The Gazette as a full-time reporter, I was covering news and features as a freelancer for several area publications including the Prince George’s County Sentinel, DC Magazine and Bethesda Magazine.
