I’m The Gazette’s Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village reporter. Though I’ve never lived in Gaithersburg, I’ve lived all around it: I’m a Montgomery County native with roots in Rockville, Damascus and now, Bethesda. As a journalist, I started at The Buzz at Damascus High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in print journalism from American University and became an investigative journalist at the student newspaper there, The Eagle. There, I wrote a seven-part series about WWI chemical munitions buried on the edge of campus and underneath a wealthy Northwest Washington, D.C. neighborhood. I’ve had internships at WAMU 88.5 and NPR in Washington, D.C., and was employed as a home page producer at The Washington Post shortly before beginning at The Gazette in September. I’m now back to reporting in my home county. In addition to covering Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, I’m also the transportation reporter. If you’re a Gaithersburg or Montgomery Village resident with a great story or if you’re stuck in the tunnel on a Red Line train, send me a note.
