Bethesda Big Train

Bethesda Community Baseball Club
Bethesda Big Train is an amateur team in the Clark C. Griffith Baseball League, a Washington, D.C.-area league for college players younger than 21.The team’s home field is at Shirley Povich Field at Cabin John Regional Park.

Bethesda Cares

For more than 20 years, Bethesda Cares has served homeless and working poor through programs offering free meals, clothing, job search assistance and eviction prevention help. More than 450 volunteers help implement the nonprofit’s programs, but volunteers are needed. Donations of clothing, food, money and toiletry items are accepted.

Bethesda Green

Bethesda Green is a nonprofit, formed in 2008, to help make the community a leader in sustainability. It hosts workshops, networking events and workgroups on recycling, energy efficiency, sustainable food and agriculture, transportation, green schools and more.

Bethesda Urban Partnership

Downtown Bethesda is managed by the Bethesda Urban Partnership, a nonprofit established by Montgomery County in 1994. It handles landscaping and maintenance, plus promotion of the downtown through marketing campaigns and large-scale events. It also manages the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District, operates Bethesda Transportation Solutions and manages the free Bethesda Circulator bus.
