On behalf of the Food Pantries of End Hunger in Calvert County I want to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to the many people who made our recent Bike Ride To End Hunger such a success. With over 500 riders from all over the country, this event would not have been possible without our sponsors who gave so generously and selflessly in order to serve the needy in our county. Specifically we thank: Arundel Bay Christian Academy, Bike Doctor of Waldorf, Capital One Bank, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, Chesapeake Church, Chesapeake Grill & Deli, Constellation Energy Group, Fridays Creek Winery, Herrington on the Bay, Oxon Hill Bicycle & Trail Club Inc., Paceline Products Inc. Plan B Technologies, PNC Bank, Potomac Pedalers, Rita's Italian Ice in Dunkirk, Rockhill Law Group and Town Center BP in Dunkirk.
It takes many, many people to make an event of this order a quality experience. Our sponsors provided the materials, money and manpower to make it happen. They did so with generosity and without the expectation of personal gain. At a time when 10,000 people in Calvert County are utilizing the services of food pantries, now more than ever, their support matters. And thank you, Calvert County, for your heart for our neighbors.
