Mary Elizabeth Doss, 77, Lusby
Mary Elizabeth Doss, 77, of Lusby, formerly of Covington, Va., died Feb. 22, 2012, in Prince Frederick.
Born Nov. 11, 1934, in Covington, Va., she was the daughter of the late George Dewey and the late Lucille Grady Tingler.
She married Linwood Beauford Doss on Sept. 8, 1952, in Covington, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2009.
She graduated from Covington High School in 1952 and moved to Calvert County from Kettering in November 1995. She was a loving person who always put others before herself. She was a perfect role model as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. All who knew her will miss her deeply.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon and George Tingler.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Lee Doss and his wife, Sherry of Waldorf, Gary Doss and his wife, Becky of Salisbury and Kenny Doss and his wife, Kerri of Waldorf; brother, Benny Tingler of Covington; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Feb. 27 at Olivet United Methodist Church, Lusby, followed by a service with the Rev. Faith Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
