Preparations have begun for the Thurmont business expo held from 6-9 p.m. on March 23 at Catoctin High School.
The theme of this year’s event is “Fabulous 50s.”
Exhibitors are encouraged to decorate and dress in a 50s style. A plaque and free booth space for next year’s event, will be awarded to the exhibitor with the best booth and costume.
This year, between 90 and 100 booths are expected. They will include Thurmont businesses, schools, nonprofits, churches and civic groups. Door prizes also will be awarded.
Admission is free. People attending are asked to bring a nonperishable food item or a cash donation for the Thurmont Food Bank.
Gold sponsors for the expo include Powell’s Insurance and Fiscus Fitness. Silver sponsors include Stauffer Funeral Home, Mike’s Auto Body, Affordable Self Storage, The Answer Group, Avon, Food Lion and the Frederick County Tourism Council.
