At 9:51 p.m. Feb. 25, Deputy C. Fox responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Cox made contact with four occupants inside the vehicle, which was reported to have been parked at the store for about 30 minutes. Deputies said the occupants had been walking in and out of the store. One occupant, Brian Allen Ward, 41, of Owings, had an open arrest warrant for drug possession charges and he was arrested on that warrant. Ward and Todd Royer Crampton, 29, of Welcome, Renee Emily Goshorn, 23, of Prince Frederick and Richard Hubert Mullen, 35, of Prince Frederick, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of alprazolam, possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use and possession of paraphernalia.
