Pearl Harriet Erickson, 91, Waldorf

Pearl Harriet Erickson, 91, of Waldorf, formerly of Bethesda, died March 10, 2012, at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall.

Born March 1, 1921, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Harry Reynoldson and the late Augusta Johnson Reynoldson.

Mrs. Erickson was a retired stenographer with the National Institutes of Health and a member of North Bethesda United Methodist Church. She loved to paint, garden and shop. She loved her dog, Gigi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernal Erickson.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Vern and his wife, Karen Erickson of Florida; and daughter, Jan Vernene and her husband, Rene Apel of Waldorf.

Service and burial will take place at 9 a.m. March 21 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hughesville Volunteer Fire and EMS Department, 15245 Prince Frederick Road, Hughesville, MD 20637.
