Charles County prosecutors have charged a Florida teenager with creating several pornographic videos of him molesting a 4-year-old girl during a three-day visit to her Waldorf home in December.

Bradley Kauffman Hill, 17, of Lake Como, Fla., was indicted March 2 on 26 counts of sexual child abuse, child pornography and sex offense, more than a month after Florida detectives found alleged child pornography on his cellphone.

A forensic nurse contacted a Charles County detective Jan. 24 after a Waldorf woman reported Hill had sexually assaulted her 4-year-old daughter, according to court papers.

The detective spoke to the woman, who said she had gotten a call from a relative in Lake Como regarding Hill, the relative’s adopted son, who was being questioned by Putnam County sheriff’s officers about alleged child pornography on his cellphone, the papers state.

The woman said her relative had been shown short segments of the videos by police and recognized her daughter in them. The woman said her relative and Hill had visited her family in Waldorf between Dec. 23 and 31, the records state.

The detective and a forensic nurse spoke to the girl, but she did not report any sexual abuse during the interview. The nurse then performed a pediatric sexual assault examination, during which the girl said, “Bradley takes pictures of me,” according to charging documents.

A Putnam County sheriff’s detective told investigators the child pornography had been found on Hill’s cellphone while he was at school, court records state.

Florida police said that Hill admitted to directing the girl to perform a sex act as he filmed her during a subsequent interview, the papers state. His mother also identified the house where the videos were recorded as the girl’s Waldorf home.

A local detective received the eight videos on Feb. 6 and identified the girl in each of them. Hill recorded himself molesting the girl in six of the videos and in one of them directed her to perform a sex act, the documents state.

According to the videos’ time stamps, one was filmed Dec. 27, five were recorded Dec. 28 and two more were shot Dec. 29. Hill was 17 at the time the videos were recorded.

The next day the detective visited the girl’s home and spoke to her parents, who reported Hill had slept in their basement during his December visit.

The detective found a mattress on the floor of their basement with sheets matching those in most of the pornographic videos on Hill’s phone.

The girl’s parents also were able to find the clothes she had worn in the videos.

An arrest warrant was issued for Hill on Feb. 9 but recalled following his indictment, according to online court records. A bench warrant for Hill was issued March 5.
