Charles Henry Hall Jr., 60, Chaptico

Charles Henry Hall Jr., 60, of Mill Point Shores in Chaptico died March 21, 2012.

Born July 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Charles Henry Hall Sr. and the late Edna Cecila Hall-Johnson.

He was born and raised in St. Mary’s County. He attended St. Mary’s County public schools. He enjoyed life after his retirement from Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee, where he was a maintenance worker. He was a bricklayer, auto mechanic and gardener among his many skills.

He regularly attended mass at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Chaptico.

In addition, he often attended church services with his sister, Lisha Tyer, at Greater Morning Star Pentecostal Church.

He enjoyed shopping at the St. Mary’s farmers market; going to community flea markets, Amish shops and consignment shops; fishing; playing cards; preparing large, wholesome dinners; and especially tending to his garden. However, above all, he loved spending quality time with his companion of 37 years, Linda Goldring, and his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jacqueline Tyer, Leona Hall and Audrey Mae Hall.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Linda; daughters, Tanya and Belinda; son, Charles “PeeWee” III; grandchildren, LeKeisha, Delontey, Demetrius, Trevon “Junior,” MyLisa, KaLisa, Gerald “Cabbage,” Mariah, Keon and Precious; great-grandchildren, Sammie, Destiny and Hezziah; sisters, Rebecca Tyer and her husband, Oscar, Valerie Tyer, Martha Tate and her husband, Wendell, Geraldine Miles and Jennifer Thomas; brothers, Leroy, Robert, Willie and Timothy Hall and his wife, Crystal; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held March 29 at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, Mechanicsville. Burial took place at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown.
