The Waldorf Thrift Store has returned.
The store, which opened March 30, is in the Pinefield South Shopping Center at 2100 Crain Highway, the former Family Furniture store location, two blocks north of the old location.
The new store offers 25,000 square feet of retail space.
The thrift store owners are excited to open the location because it replaces the store that burned down in a fire, according to a news release.
Local longtime Waldorf resident and regional manager Doris Spriggs was excited that the store reopened. Spriggs has 22 years with the company and she is also in charge of its Indian Head and Virginia stores.
“It will be great to see our customers who have traveled from long distances again. We appreciate them continuing to shop at our Indian Head and Virginia store locations. We are also looking forward to meeting and servicing our neighboring customers,” Spriggs said in the release.
The reopening of the store created 25 jobs, the owners said. Its donation center hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
