Leona H. Seymour, 85, of Owings, formerly of Williamsburg, Va., died April 1, 2012, at the Calvert Nursing Center in Prince Frederick.
She was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Decatur, Ill., to William and Mabel (Wright) Pier.
After World War II, she came to Washington, D.C., to work for the Navy Department, where she met the man of her dreams. For more than 30 years, she was the wife of the late Allen Seymour Sr. She later moved to the Williamsburg, Va., area and then to Owings eight years ago. She was a member of the Executive Secretary Association and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 108 in Cheverly. She was dedicated to her home and family.
She is survived by her children, Cassandra Bollino, Patricia Jenkins and Allen Seymour Jr.; grandchildren, Sonya and Joseph Bollino Jr., Kristin and Patrick Jenkins, Sarah and Allen Seymour III; and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Lash and Joseph Bollino III.
Family received friends April 7 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert in Owings.
Interment was private.
