Arthur Stepney, 68, of Prince Frederick died March 30, 2012, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
He was born Feb. 3, 1944, in Prince Frederick to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Stepney.
He was one of 10 children. Although he spent his mid-years in construction, most of his life he worked at what he enjoyed, farming. Once retired, he became an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Stepney.
He is survived by his beloved, Mable Brown; stepchildren, Walter Brown, James Brown, and Mable and her husband, Terry Morsell; children, Rosie and her husband, Arnold, Carter, Linda and her husband, Andre Jackson, Arthur and his wife, LaKisha Stepney, Jackie Jones, Willia Stepney, Leslie and her husband, Bertrand Spann; grandchildren, Latasha Brown, Evan and Marcus Morsell, Angel Jones, Raeeqs Dobyns, Richard White, Rahim and Baiyina Jones, Jasmine Ferguson, Jordan Jalloh, Brandon Yarbrough, Zonte Spann and Briana Spann; brothers, Lincoln “Dennis” Stepney, Preston Stepney and Sherman Stepney; and sisters, Teresa Harris, Jeraline Stepney, Gracie Brown, Francie Stepney, Hazel and her husband, Benjamin Dennis.
Memorial service was held April 5 at Sewell Funeral Home in Prince Frederick with the Rev. George Williams Sr. officiating.
Interment was private.
