Kenneth R. Gallagher, 60, of Lusby died April 1, 2012, due to complications with cancer.

He was born Nov. 26, 1951.

He was born in Providence, R.I., and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Va. He was an HVAC mechanic in the Washington, D.C., area for more than 30 years and also served in the naval reserves during Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen; brother, Alan; and wife, Lynn in 2007.

He is survived by his sister, Cynthia; brothers, Peter, Brian, Craig, Jimmy and Danny; and sons, Ken of Winchester, Va., and Gavin of Greenbelt.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
