The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County police and/or Gaithersburg police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county and Gaithersburg police media services office.

6th DistrictAggravated assault

Ÿ On March 22 in the 1100 block of Southern Night Lane in Gaithersburg. The 17-year-old female from Gaithersburg is known to the victim and was arrested.

Ÿ On March 24 around 3:35 a.m. in the 19600 block of Labelle Court in Gaithersburg. Two males, 20-21, from Gaithersburg assaulted the victim and were arrested.

Armed robberyŸOn March 27 at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the Safeway parking lot, 20211 Goshen Road in Montgomery Village. The robber displayed a weapon and obtained property. The robber was described as a black male, 20-29, 6 feet tall, thin, wearing a black hoodie, black dress pants.

Strong-arm robberyŸ On March 22 at approximately 10:50 p.m. at the Transit Center, 9650 Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg. The 16-year-old male from Gaithersburg assaulted the victim, obtained property and was arrested.

Ÿ On March 24 at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of Cambourne Court in Gaithersburg. The robber assaulted the victim and obtained property. The robber was described as a black male, 20-24, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds, mustache, wearing a black hoodie, dark blue jeans.

Ÿ On March 24 at approximately 11:20 p.m. outside of the Upper County Community Center, 8211 Emory Grove Road in Gaithersburg. Two males, 14-18, assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Commercial burglary

Ÿ Hans Auto Center, 8509 Citation Drive in Gaithersburg, between midnight and 12:30 a.m. March 26. Forced entry, property taken.

Residential burglary

Ÿ 700 block of Lake Veruna Drive in Gaithersburg, between March 20 and March 25. No forced entry, property taken from garage.

Ÿ 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village, March 22. Unknown entry, property taken.

Ÿ Unit block of Maryland Avenue in Gaithersburg, at approximately 2 p.m. March 24. Attempted entry, property taken from outside. A 22-year-old male was arrested.
