Six teenage boys were hospitalized Saturday night after being stabbed, cut or kicked by at least two assailants who showed up uninvited to a birthday party in Brandywine, police said.
Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George’s County police spokesman, said several unidentified suspects arrived at a birthday party at a house in the 19000 block of Poplar Ridge Road around 10:30 p.m.
“The suspects appeared to go to this party uninvited, and in the process, there was an altercation,” Copeland said.
Two people were stabbed and taken to a hospital in critical condition. In addition, three people were cut and another person was kicked in the face, and each went to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.
Detectives are interviewing people who were at the party, Copeland said, as an investigation continues and police seek at least two male suspects.
Johnson said police believe this was an isolated incident and that the suspects knew the victims.
“They were uninvited, and they crashed the party,” he said.
