A community meeting, Keeping Teens Safe, will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at John F. Kennedy High School Cafeteria, 1901 Randolph Road, Silver Spring.

The forum will include a discussion about the state of the Down County Consortium community and strategies to keep students engaged and neighborhoods thriving.

It also will be an opportunity for parents and students to learn about programs and services available in the community.

The event is presented by Kennedy High School, the Maryland State Attorney’s Office, Montgomery County Public Schools Downcounty Consortium Administrators, the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and the Montgomery County Police Department.

Child care and interpretation services will be provided.
