Renee LeVonne Ball Farmer, 40, of Washington, D.C., died April 22, 2012, at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born Dec. 23, 1971, in St. Mary’s County, she was the daughter of the late Joan Leona Langley Ball and the late Carroll Fenwick.
She was raised in St. Mary’s County. She graduated from Green Holly School in 1991. After graduation, She moved to Charles County and lived in a Freedom Landing group home where she met and married James William Farmer on May 9, 1997. They divorced in 2011. She had no children, but she adored her stepchildren and stepgrandchildren and accepted them as her own.
She was a selfless, giving and loving person. She enjoyed telling jokes and bragging about her mom’s cooking because she considered her to be the greatest cook. Her selflessness and kind heart were evident upon her death as she donated her eyes, kidneys and liver.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Tonina Miles of Lexington Park and Erica Farmer of Benedict; siblings, Sheryl S. Ball and her husband, Bernard of Lexington Park, Bernard S. Ball Jr. and his wife, Adonica of Clinton and Monique E. Mann and her husband, Steven of Winston-Salem, N.C.; stepgrandchildren, Mariona Bowman, Brandon Young Jr. and Jordan Young of Lexington Park; aunt, Mary E. Carroll-Richardson of Lanham; uncle, James R. Langley and his wife, GlynisHope of Temple Hills; special friend, Paul Martin of the District; and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. May 1 at St. Peter Claver Church, St. Inigoes. Burial will be private.
