Tiffany L. Henderson of Glenarden, a social work major at Bethany College in West Virginia, received the Lynn Frantz Adkins Award during the college’s annual Honors Day celebration April 12.

Henderson is the daughter of Cornell Henderson and Theresa Henderson.

The award is presented to seniors who demonstrate outstanding achievement in social work by maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average in the major, actively participating in the Social Awareness Club, having outstanding achievement in field placement and community involvement outside of the social work curriculum and maintaining a good member standing in the National Association of Social Workers.

Founded in 1840, Bethany is West Virginia’s oldest private college.
