Carl and Wanda Jameson of Waldorf were given a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party April 28 at the American Legion in Hughesville.

The celebration was given by their children and spouses, Tracey and Mark O’Leary and Todd and Maria Jameson of Waldorf.

The Jamesons were married April 28, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bryantown.

Friends and family members, including their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attended and enjoyed listening, dancing and singing with the Country Memories Band, which played old country music.

Food and desserts were provided by family and friends.
