Kamperin named to horse team

Mariah Kamperin of Charlotte Hall was named a member of the 2012 Lynchburg College equestrian team. Kamperin, a freshman rider and nursing major, is the daughter of David and Debbie Kamperin. The team is coached by Matt Arrigon and placed fourth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament.

Mary Baldwin honors students

CarolAnn "Beth" Dodson of Mechanicsville was recently awarded Peggy Pinkston Biochemistry Research Award at Mary Baldwin College’s honors convocation at the Staunton, Va., school.

Emily Myers of Waldorf was awarded Freshman Calculus, which is given to the best student or students taking Math 211-212 in calculus and analytic geometry.
