The U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers will hold their 20th annual Stamp Out Hunger In America Day on Saturday.

Postal patrons are encouraged to leave a bag of non-perishable food where they usually pick up their mail.

Letter carriers will pick up donations for delivery to the Capital Area Food Bank.

“I am confident the 2012 campaign will be our best ever because the need continues to grow,” Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said in an email.

For details about the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, ask your letter carrier, contact your post office or visit www.helpstampouthunger.com.
