Joseph K. Fryer III, 49, Newburg

Joseph K. “Joe” Fryer III, 49, of Newburg died May 7, 2012.

Born Sept. 27, 1962, in Washington D.C., he was the son of Joseph K. Fryer Jr. and Karen l. Mellberg-Sapp.

Mr. Fryer was the owner of Potomac Welding. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. He could make people laugh, and was like a father to many.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Denny Sapp.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Suzanne Fryer; significant other, Debbie Allen; son, Joseph K. “Kenny” Fryer IV; daughter, Kelly “Mookie” Fryer; grandchildren, Camryn “Caminic” Fryer, Sean Fryer and Brooklyn “Brookiebrook” Hall; and many other relatives.

A life celebration will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. May 13 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. May 14. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.
