Katherine Sarah Morris, 22, California
Katherine Sarah “Kat” Morris, 22, of California died May 6, 2012.
Born March 11, 1990, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the Rev. Willie Morris and the Rev. Marguerite Morris.
She was the youngest of six brothers and sisters.
She attended St. Mary’s County public schools and St. Mary’s Ryken High School, from which she graduated. She attended the University of Maryland and earned a bachelor’s of science in family services. Just prior to her death, she applied for admission to the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed working with young children, cooking and making jewelry. She did volunteer work.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Isaac Goodwin; sisters, Jameka Morris, Charlotte Morris-Breeden and Aja Long; brothers, Willie Morris Jr., Christopher Morris and Andre Morris; and special friends, Shaudae, Sam, Michelle and Rose.
A life celebration will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. May 12 at Gospel Tabernacle of Prayer Church, Clements. Burial will take place at First Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Lexington Park. The Rev. Roderick McClanahan will officiate.
