Brenda Elaine Schmidt, 61, White Plains

Brenda Elaine Schmidt, 61, of White Plains died May 8, 2012, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.

Born July 17, 1950, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Albert Harvey Lusby and the late Evelyn Sanford Lusby.

Mrs. Schmidt was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Dana Cady of White Plains; brothers, Albert “Cubbie” Lusby of Florida, Ricky Lusby of Florida and Robbie Lusby of Delaware; sisters, Rae Jean Barbone of Delaware, Patricia and her husband, John Hopkins of Delaware and Linda Smith of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon May 15 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Temple Hills. The Rev. Shell Kimble will officiate. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
