It appears incompetence and the mighty force of big companies continues to work in this day and age, specifically with regard to the referendum on the annexation and Walmart Supercenter.

Councilman Joseph Norris appears to be looking to the future elections by hoping to have it both ways. He says he voted for the annexation, but thinks it’s unfair to those people who wanted a referendum.

Hopefully, before those people get voted out, they won’t try to change the name of the town to more accurately reflect the future of La Plata as La Waldorf.
