Officers from the Frederick Police Department arrested two security guards in the parking lot of a restaurant for allegedly assaulting a third man early Sunday morning.
The men, Kevin Roger Calderon, 25, and Rafael Antonio Rodriguez-Hernandez, 22, were arrested shortly after midnight Sunday in the parking lot of Mi Casa Restaurant, at 50 N. McCain Dr. in Frederick, according to a police press release.
When police arrived, officers observed the two men in security uniforms standing over a third man, who was handcuffed and bleeding from the face.
The two men were not at the property they were assigned to guard, and did not administer first aid to the man they detained, according to the release.
The two were arrested and charged with false imprisonment and second-degree assault.
The victim was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment of a broken nose and other minor facial injuries. He was released after about two hours, the release states.
Calderon and Rodriguez-Hernandez were taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Officials at the center did not have bond information for Calderon. Rodriguez-Hernandez was held without bond on an immigration detainer.
A call to Lt. Clark Pennington, spokesman for the Frederick Police Department was not immediately returned Sunday afternoon.
