Glen Dale Dennison, 78, White Plains
Glen Dale Dennison, 78, of White Plains, formerly of Mechanicsville, died May 19, 2012, at Genesis HealthCare, Waldorf.
Born March 18, 1934, in Capitol Heights, he was the son of the late Raymond Baker Dennison and the late Daisy Lou Wamsley Dennison.
Mr. Dennison was a self-employed painting contractor for many years. He owned Pep Motors Used Cars in Mechanicsville during the 1970s and ’80s. He was a member of the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge 495 and White Plains Moose Lodge 1709. He loved to race pigeons and belonged to the Hillside Racing Pigeon Club. He enjoyed playing baseball, watching NASCAR driver Mark Martin, antique cars, dancing to country music and listening to Hank Williams Sr. and Marty Robbins. He also enjoyed going to bingo with his wife, Mary Ann, and watching her play.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Dennison and Marvin Dennison and his wife, Merle; and grandson, Jeffrey Milan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dennison; sons, Dale Dennison and his wife, Karen, James Stonestreet and his wife, Kathy, Eddie Stonestreet, Joe Stonestreet and Bill Stonestreet; daughters, Marylyn Dennison and Susan O’Rear; brothers, Wilford Dennison and his wife, Janet and Wayne Dennison and his wife, Peggy; sister-in-law, Carol Dennison; grandchildren, Dale Dennison, Kate Moore and her husband, Matt, Shelly and Jamie Hug, Jonathan Milan, Kyle O’Rear, Krissy Langley and her husband, Jason, Zachary Stonestreet and Josh Carroll; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Finley, Molly Moore, Rylan, Brayden and Kendal Langley, and Josh Carroll Jr.
A memorial life celebration will be held from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. May 25 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall. The Rev. Robert Howard will officiate.
