William Aloysius Mudd, 76, Brandywine
William Aloysius “Al” Mudd, 76, of Brandywine died May 20, 2012.
Born Sept. 14, 1935, in Brandywine, he was the son of the late Bernard and the late Alice Mudd.
Mr. Mudd was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Piscataway, Knights of Columbus, Dr. Mudd Museum Society, Friendly Maryland Travelers Club the Good Sam Club and the Accokeek Senior Club. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends and also camping, gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian Mills Mudd; children, Deborah Mudd, Joan Mudd, Donna and her husband, Steven Albanezi, William A. Jr. and his wife, Brenda Mudd, Karen Ayers, Lisa Okes, Kimberly and her husband, Donald Wright, Patrick and his wife, Katrina Mudd and Melissa and her husband, Chad Rosensteel; three brothers, 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. May 23 at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf. A service will be held at 10 a.m. May 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
