Rodgers graduates from University of Kansas

McKeal Rodgers of Waldorf recently received a master’s of science in business from University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan.

D’Ambrosio initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa

Georgetown College junior Jessica D’Ambrosio, daughter of John and Patti D’Ambrosio, was recently initiated into the college’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa.

D’Ambrosio is a graduate of Chopticon High School and is currently studies international business.

Omicron Delta Kappa is the first college honor society of a national scope to give recognition for leadership. Since its founding, more than 300,000 people from more than 300 college and university campuses across the United States have been recognized for leadership and service in scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, social and religious activities, journalism and mass media, and creative and performing arts. Student membership candidates must academically rank in the upper 35 percent of their school or college.

Hunsberger graduates Catholic University

Ross Allan Hunsberger, a member of the 123rd graduating class of The Catholic University of America, recently graduated with a bachelor’s of science in business administration.

He is a 2008 graduate of La Plata High School and received an academic scholarship to attend Catholic University.

He will work as in an administrative position with the government and real estate development.

Locals graduate from CCU

Area students graduated from Coastal Carolina University May 5 in Conway, S.C. Among the graduates were William S. Gallo and Brent W. Sutten of La Plata; Rebecca Kercher of Port Tobacco; and Jatavia T. Clay of Brandywine.
