Charles County Dive Rescue, using sonar, recovered the body of a missing boater Monday, Maryland Natural Resources Police reported.

A 21-foot vessel struck a concrete jetty at 11 p.m. Sunday near Kent Narrows. Two of the four people aboard the vessel, John Perry, 50, of Crownsville and Brenda Werner, 47, of Riva, were transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore on Sunday and are listed in stable condition, NRP reported.

John Bowlin, 49, also was on the vessel but was not transported.

Workers from the Charles County Dive Rescue unit, NRP, U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland State Police Aviation and the Anne Arundel County Fire Department searched the area for the fourth boater, David Withlow, 43, of Hebron, police reported.

Withlow’s body was recovered at 12:30 p.m. Monday near the scene of the accident.

The Charles County Dive Rescue unit also assisted in a search for Brandon M. Greene, 21, of Edgewater, who did not resurface after jumping feet first from a drifting boat near Howell Point in Kent County, police said. His body was found Monday evening.

Maryland NRP Sgt. A.A. Windemuth said the NRP really appreciated the hard work and dedication of Charles County Dive Rescue’s Skeeter Porter and his crew.
