The Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company will be temporarily transformed into Detroit Rock City on June 9 when the company hosts Love Gun, a cover band paying tribute to the 70s rock band KISS.

The band primarily plays KISS tunes circa-1978 — complete with make-up, fire breathing and smoking guitars, according to an ad on the Brunswick fire company website.

Tickets for the concert are $10 and are available by calling 301-748-0211 or 301-606-0895. Doors will open at 8 p.m. at the fire company at 1500 Volunteer Drive in Brunswick. The show starts at 9 p.m.and is open to those at least 18 years old, with a cash bar available to anyone 21 and older.

The concert will also feature a guest performance from the Frederick Rock School, a program that teaches students to play a variety of rock and roll instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and disc jockey equipment, as well as record engineering.
