Four students — two each from Middletown and Tuscarora high schools — were among the winners, including the best in show award, at the 2012 Congressional Art Competition in the 6th Congressional District, represented by U.S. Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett (R).
Jordyn Renn, from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School, took home best in show for her entry, “Overlook.” Marcus Artusion,also from TJ, won in the computer generated category with his entry, “Yellow Chevy.”
Alison Dempsey, from Middletown High, won in the collage category for her untitled work and fellow student Caitlyn Miller won in the mixed media category for her entry, “Love of Flowers.”
Bartlett presented the winners with certificates during a display of their artwork May 18 in Hagerstown.
