James Brown, 82, Temple Hills
Dr. James Brown, 82, of Temple Hills died May 25, 2012, at home.
Born Oct. 29, 1929, at Providence Hospital, New York City, he was the son of the late David and the late Louise Brown.
Dr. Brown was the director of the obstetrics clinic at the Charles County Health Department. His first private practice, family medicine, was in Bryans Road, and his final practice was in Temple Hills.
He was a parishioner at Redeemer United Methodist Church for more than three decades.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Brown; children, Cynthia, Michael and Kimberly Brown Smith; siblings, David Anthony Brown and Erma Chambers; five grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. June 2 at First United Methodist Church, Hyattsville. Burial will take place at Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel.
