John Savich, administrator of St. Mary’s County government, will be taking medical leave starting Monday, June 4.

Savich told county government employees, “I’ll be out on medical leave, probably for the full month of June. I wanted us to get the budget done before taking the time off and now the path is clear. I’ll be back shortly, either just before or right after the 4th of July.”

In his absence, Sue Sabo, director of human resources, will serve as acting county administrator.

As already scheduled, the county commissioners won’t be meeting in the first two weeks of July.
