The Galleria on St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf has launched with Goldwell USA as the color company of choice for the salon, which also will carry the company’s cleansing, conditioning and styling products. The Galleria revealed the partnership at a Business Alliance of Charles County mixer the salon recently hosted.
Goldwell’s Lisa Tuetken, senior education manager, traveled from Denver to educate the Galleria team on the preducts.
“It is important for us to partner with a company recognized internationally but is accessible to us,” Galleria owner Pam Roberts said in a news release. “With Goldwell we have European technology, but it is American, in fact Maryland-made, and as a result we support the economy of our country and state.”
Goldwell’s U.S. operation is headquartered in Linthicum Heights, along with the company’s U.S. Advanced Academy of Hair.
Another important factor in the choice, Roberts said in the release, is that Goldwell uses canister technology, which allows for more accurate measuring and less waste. Canisters also can be recycled.
The Galleria also carries Surface hair care products. The line is made in the United States and offers gluten-free choices from naturally derived ingredients, Roberts said.
The salon has an educator for both brands, Katie Wright for Goldwell and Gareth Jenkins, salon manager, for Surface. Jenkins also is a national educator for Surface.
The Galleria has been in business since 1976.
