Frederick Community College has announced honors and awards for the 2011-12 school year.
The Class of 2012 had 1,080 graduates, including 129 who graduated with high honors of a 3.75 GPA or higher and 131 with honors of a GPA between 3.5 and 3.749.
Heather Dan and Jenna Wolf of Braddock Heights were part of the school’s Honor College, whose members are recognized for their grade point average in honors classes. Wolf also received a Leadership Legacy award.
Omar Abdullah, of Brunswick, received a Leadership Legacy award. Alexzander Van Mantgem of Brunswick was given an English Award for Excellence in Cultural Competence.
Laura Shannon, of Jefferson, received a Medical Assistant Award from the medical assisting program.
Theodore Stone, of Middletown, was given the Tuscarora Review’s Editorial Board Award.
Maureen McCarrick, of Myersville, received the Anatomy and Physiology Award.
Michael Glass received a Leadership Legacy award.
