The Crime Solvers programs in St. Mary’s and Charles counties are conducting a fundraising drive by selling raffle tickets this Friday, June 15, at the Northern Senior Activity Center in Charlotte Hall for a Maryland State 375th Anniversary Browning Citori 12-gauge shotgun.
The over-under double-barreled gun has a receiver plated in 24K gold and jewelry-grade nickel, and raffle tickets costing $10 each or three for $25 will be sold from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday at the activity center. The shotgun will not be at the activity center. The drawing will take place at 4 p.m.
St. Mary’s County Crime Solvers Inc. is a nonprofit organization that assists the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in helping to solve crimes by providing rewards for information that will lead to the arrest of the culprits in the cases. St. Mary’s County Crime Solvers is comprised of volunteers from the county who educate the community about the role of Crime Solvers, solicit donations and arrange fundraisers to obtain the money used for the rewards.
