Two men are hospitalized after a two-car crash in Lanham left one driver trapped inside his vehicle for about 30 minutes Thursday morning.
The county’s fire/EMS department responded to the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Northern Avenue in Lanham around 9:31 a.m., when firefighters dismantled the driver’s side door of one of the vehicles to free a man from inside.
Mark Brady, a county fire/EMS department spokesman, said the two male drivers were the only ones involved in the collision and both were sent to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a county police spokesman, said he did not know what caused the crash and said a collision report is still being conducted.
