Daniel Wayne Kapaska, 46, Mechanicsville

Daniel Wayne “Dan” Kapaska, 46, of Mechanicsville died June 12, 2012.

He was born Aug. 3, 1965, in California.

Mr. Kapaska was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lexington Park. He loved music, carpentry and anything that challenged his mind. He took in and loved many dogs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita Talbot-Kapaska; and brother, Aaron Kapaska.

He is survived by his children, Daniel Kapaska II and Shawn Kapaska and his wife, Danielle; father, Norman Kapaska; brothers, Kenny Probst, Colin Kapaska, Eric Kapaska and Damian Kapaska; sister, Sandra Shupe; granddaughter, Rylan Kapaska; life companion, Catherine Lazor; and many other relatives.

A memorial service was held June 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will take place June 22 in Delta, Utah.
