Girls player of the year

Cierra Plummer, Surrattsville, Jr.

First-year No. 1 transferred in from home schooling program to put Hornets on map. Defeated previously unbeaten North District champion Lydia Carter of Roosevelt for first Region III crown.

Coach of the Year

Brendan O'Connell, Eleanor Roosevelt

Great rapport with team has helped build a perennial power over decade. Led young team to program's eighth straight Region III win.

Only two losses were to Washington eventual Catholic Athletic Conference champion Anton Zykov in regular season and season-ending championship final.
