Area players make Brine Lacrosse teams
Several players from Southern Maryland were recently named to Brine Lacrosse teams.
Named as a Brine National High School All-American were Brandon Ratigan (Prince Frederick, The Calverton School), Zane Mass (Owings, The Calverton School), Zachary Kuderski (Huntingtown, The Calverton School), Garrett Wayson (Prince Frederick, St. Mary’s Ryken High School) and Justin Knode (Prince Frederick, The Calverton School).
Laura Osbourne of Chesapeake Beach (Huntingtown High School) was named to the Washington, D.C., girls team, while Jackson Mote of La Plata made the middle school boys team.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic will be held in Boyds starting June 30 through July 3.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top 400 high school underclassmen lacrosse players in the country to one venue, where 16 regional teams will compete to become the 2012 national champion and qualify to compete for an international championship later in the year.
