The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a June 11 attempted robbery at a home in Huntingtown where a woman received minor injuries.

At about 2:30 p.m. June 11, Calvert Investigative Team detectives K. Hunt and N. DeFelice responded to a Deep Landing Road home for a reported robbery. The homeowner reported to police that she went into her garage and as she was going into her home, a man approached her from behind, told her to go inside the house and demanded money, according to a C.I.T. press release.

The woman was pushed up the garage steps toward the door to the home when she kicked the suspect, ran into the house and locked the door, police said. The woman then called the police. According to the press release, the woman had minor injuries but denied medical attention.

The suspect is a white man, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build, according to the press release. Police said the man has dark hair and was wearing jeans, a white T-shirt and tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hunt or DeFelice at 410-535-1600 ext. 2597 or 2669.
