From the NBC 1990s hit “Saved By The Bell,” Principal “Mr. Belding,” whose real name is Dennis Haskins, made an appearance at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf on Wednesday evening to greet numerous fans and sign autographs.
The Blue Crabs held Educator Appreciation Night where Belding spoke to many of the teachers in Southern Maryland, while fans got to sing karaoke with many fans as The Legends Club was turned into “The Max,” the hangout spot for the kids of “Saved By The Bell.”
“I’m blessed to be here in Southern Maryland,” Haskins said. “Everyone know me as a the silly Principal that would catch you walking in the hallways during class. I’m a big baseball fan and it was an honor to meet the Blue Crabs and Butch Hobson in person, I remember when he was with the Red Sox staff in 1993.
