Estela earns masters

Elizabeth Estela graduated from Columbia University in New York City May 16.

Estela earned a master’s in organizational psychology.

She is the daughter of David and Pamela Estela of Waldorf and is a 2004 graduate of Maurice J. McDonough High School, where she was in the top 3 percent of her class.

Estela graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s from Towson University in 2008.

She works in human resources at Teachers College, a graduate college of Columbia University.

Fallin earns dean’s list honors

Jamie L. Fallin of Port Tobacco was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Salisbury University.

Fallin, the daughter of Roger and Donna Fallin, is majoring in elementary and early childhood education.

Holden named to Towson’s dean’s list

Sara Marie Holden of Waldorf was named to the dean’s list of Towson University for the fall and spring semesters.

Holden, a 2009 graduate of North Point High School, is majoring in elementary education at Towson.

She is the daughter of Eileen and Dennis Holden.

Locals graduateGerman Hall of White Plains graduated cum laude from the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va. Hall earned a bachelor’s of science in health sciences in athletic training with a minor in leadership.

Theresa Sobocinski of Waldorf graduated from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s of science in civil engineering.

Andrew Fini of La Plata graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.

Talley receives Elizabethtown College degree

Krystal Talley of Waldorf graduated from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa., with a bachelor’s of arts in psychology.

Flynn of commissioned as officer

Aileena Flynn of La Plata, was among the 15 members of the University of Scranton's Class of 2012 who were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during the Scranton, Pa.s, school's commencement exercises. Flynn has been assigned to Army Nurse Corps.
