My friend Paul Nolan of Great Mills, sadly for us, departed this Earth on May 27 to reside in heaven. I like many others did not get to say farewell. He was the best and most loyal friend I have ever had. Nolan will be greatly missed most at his work, where he enjoyed himself the most.
Nolan I am sure had more friends than I could count. There were a few who did not have his best interest in mind at times, but no matter. If they were to need a hand Nolan would be right there expecting nothing in return, as he did for me many times.
Nolan was a businessman and a truck driver. He also attended and graduated with honors from the RP Driving School. He had a great love for NASCAR and football. The Washington Redskins and Joe Bugel have never had a more loyal supporter. Although he paid for his learning he would eagerly do it again this fall.
Well, I could go on for a while, but these are a few things Nolan told me:
Ÿ Never go fishing on “Tuggy.”
Ÿ If you’re going the wrong way “turn the wheel.”
Ÿ The Redskins will go to the Super Bowl sooner or later.
So let us all who knew Nolan and his stories, never forget him, and pass his stories on to others.
