Robert Harold Taylor Jr., 46, La Plata

Robert Harold Taylor Jr., 46, of La Plata died June 26, 2012, in Cancun, Mexico.

Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Robert H. Taylor Sr. and Margie H. Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a sergeant in the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit. He enjoyed golfing, home improvement projects, skiing, baseball, steaming crabs and being with his family

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tiffany Taylor; son, Austin Taylor; daughter, Madison Taylor; sisters, Beverly Guercio, Linda Wood, Karen Hanson and Kathy Davis-Smith; nine nieces and nephews; and many other relatives.

A life celebration was held July 5 at New Life Church, La Plata, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. July 6. The Rev. Jeanne Paar and the Rev. Mike Hilson will officiate. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
