A Marbury man has been charged with driving while impaired after an officer found his vehicle off the roadway with its emergency flashers on Wednesday morning near the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Fraser Road.

The officer spotted the vehicle at 3:40 a.m. and checked on the driver, Gregory Darnell Winborne, 32, who appeared to be impaired.

Winborne was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.

Charles County sheriff’s Officer K. Burger made the arrest.
